This is the side door of the beach bar down the street. Right after I took it, a stereotypical tourist (alhoa shirt, flowered shorts, black socks) was standing right THERE and it would have made a hysterical picture. Alas, I was too late!
BTW, I've been sick for a few weeks - turns out the smoke from the sugar cane field burning (part of the harvesting process) irritates my lungs. Now the medication I'm taking is giving me unpleasant side effects ... and I still feel crummy. Fortunately, the smoke rarely drifts our way. All that is to say, "Sorry for the lame holiday pictures!" I'd hoped for something much more exciting back on Dec. 1! Oh well, who knows what the New Year will bring...
