Swamped in Matrimony...














Today there was a wedding at the beach near us and apparently as part of the festivities five outrigger canoes paddled out. When we happened by, all five were swamped--there's a weather system south of us that caused nearly constant waves...and once a little water got into those skinny canoes, that was the end of that. It was crazy, though, with a crowd watching, the lifeguard crew arriving by Jet-ski and then the fire department drove up. No one was injured, thankfully. A day to remember!
