Back to School...



















Okay, now it's back to the schoolroom for Joe. Just kidding: this is a cell in the old Lahaina prison, Hale Pa'ahao. Back in the late 1800's, you could be sent to prison for working on a Sunday, making a lot of noise at night or dangerous horse riding. They had the aloha spirit, though, and the prisoners had it pretty easy--they could buy their own food, play cards on the grounds in front of the prison, that sort of thing. (Hey, it's still Paradise, yeah?)
